Understanding the purpose and limits of Temple education, mentorship, personal reflection, and community resources.

Effective Date: November 7, 2026

1. Educational and Philosophical Purpose

Temple of the Jedi (the “Temple”) is an independent educational, philosophical, archival, and community platform supporting the real-world Jedi movement. Our materials, courses, discussions, mentorship, exercises, and interactive resources are intended to encourage learning, self-awareness, ethical reflection, personal development, and participation in community.

Although these activities may be meaningful to personal well-being, they are not professional healthcare services or a promise of any particular physical, psychological, or spiritual outcome.

2. Medical and Mental Health Information

The Temple does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or professional mental health counselling. References to emotions, mindfulness, stress, trauma, meditation, relationships, self-discipline, and well-being are offered for general educational and philosophical purposes.

Temple participation, mentorship, or conversation does not by itself create a doctor–patient, therapist–client, or other professional healthcare relationship. Content provided through the Temple should not replace professional assessment or care, and should not be used as a reason to delay or disregard advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

If you have a physical or mental health concern, seek advice from a qualified professional who can evaluate your individual circumstances.

3. Mentorship, Community Support, and Personal Boundaries

Mentors, instructors, Council members, and other participants may offer educational guidance, encouragement, feedback, or personal perspectives. These contributions do not become professional medical, psychological, legal, or therapeutic advice simply because they are shared within the Temple.

Personal reflection should respect each learner's autonomy and boundaries. Members should not feel compelled to disclose diagnoses, traumatic experiences, or other sensitive personal information as a condition of ordinary philosophical participation. If an exercise or discussion causes distress, it is reasonable to pause, adapt, or decline it and seek appropriate support.

4. Reflective and Physical Activities

Some Temple materials discuss meditation, breathing exercises, emotional reflection, shadow work, physical conditioning, martial arts, lightsaber practice, or other practical activities. These activities may not be suitable for everyone and may carry emotional or physical risks.

Participants should consider their health, abilities, environment, equipment, and appropriate supervision. Activities should be adapted, paused, or stopped when necessary for safety. Members should seek qualified guidance before beginning an activity when their circumstances make that appropriate. The Temple does not require members to undertake physical activities beyond their abilities or comfort level.

5. Spirituality, the Force, and Unverified Claims

The Temple explores philosophy, spirituality, consciousness, the Force, and related traditions while seeking to distinguish evidence from interpretation, belief, possibility, and speculation.

Discussion of spiritual experiences, energetic healing, psychic phenomena, metaphysical concepts, or other unusual claims does not establish those claims as scientifically demonstrated facts. Such ideas should not be treated as medical diagnoses, guarantees of healing, or alternatives to evidence-based healthcare.

6. Interactive and Artificially Assisted Resources

Some Temple services may use automated systems, quizzes, or artificial intelligence to support learning, reflection, or information discovery. Their outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular situation.

These tools are not licensed healthcare providers or emergency responders. Important health, legal, financial, safety, or other consequential decisions should be reviewed with a suitably qualified professional rather than based solely on an automated response or educational exercise.

7. Information Accuracy and External Content

The Temple seeks to maintain responsible, useful educational information, but does not guarantee that all material is complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every situation. Community contributions, opinions, external links, and third-party resources may not represent official Temple positions.

Readers are encouraged to evaluate claims critically, consult original sources where appropriate, and obtain professional advice when necessary.

8. Privacy and Sharing Personal Information

Members should use care when sharing sensitive information in coursework, journals, community rooms, direct messages, or interactions with other members. Different Temple features have different visibility and access controls, and other participants may be able to retain or share information they receive.

For details about data handling, storage, communications, and your choices, read the Privacy Policy.

9. Emergencies and Crisis Support

The Temple is not an emergency response or crisis-intervention service. Temple messages, community discussions, mentors, and automated tools should not be relied upon for immediate assistance or continuous monitoring.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In Canada, call 911 for an emergency. For suicide-related crisis support in Canada, call or text 988 (available 24 hours a day, every day). See Canada's 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline.

Outside Canada, contact the emergency or crisis-support services appropriate to your location.

10. Participation and Applicable Policies

Members are responsible for making informed choices about their participation and for respecting Temple rules, community boundaries, and applicable law. The Temple Handbook and Terms of Use describe additional expectations and participation requirements.

This notice explains the scope and limitations of Temple resources. It does not remove legal responsibilities, limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived, or override applicable law.

11. Updates and Contact

This disclaimer may be revised as Temple services and policies develop. The current version will be published here. For questions about Temple services or this notice, contact support@templeofthejedi.org. This address is not a crisis-support service.
